2017 Agrifest HRH Countess of Wessex with Phil Henshaw
Early November saw the Club running a beef ribs demonstration at AgriFest South West at the Devon County Showground. Sponsored by St Merryn Meats, it was designed to illustrate the challenges of meeting the demands of today’s consumer. We were honoured to receive HRH The Countess of Wessex, who spent far more than our allocated time slot talking to Club Chief Carcase Steward, Phil Henshaw, about the merits of the different ribs on display. The Club also presented trophies for the Supreme Champion Cattle, the Smithfield Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association Trophy, awarded to Mr & Mrs M Alford and the Supreme Champion Sheep Trophy, awarded to Robert Garth.
